Attention! Label renewal in 2024

What exactly is PENB?

Energy Label, or officially the Building Energy Performance Certificate (PENB). It indicates the energy intensity of your home or commercial building. You need it when selling or renting a property. The certificate is valid for 10 years or until a major construction intervention. Energy labels are mandatory by law when building new buildings or when renting and selling a property. We process it into an understandable form in structure and graphic form according to the valid decree in accordance with the legislation and quality standard.

When do I need to have a building energy performance certificate?

In the construction of new buildings

The energy performance certificate of the building is submitted to the building authority during the construction or reconstruction of the building. Thus, a building without an exposed PENB should not get a building permit at all. Unless there is an exception, when the building does not have to have a license.

With major changes to completed buildings

A larger change in a completed building means a change that occurs to more than 25% of the total area of the building envelope, or a change in the technical facilities of the building with energy effects, where the default sum of the affected energy consumption is higher than not 25% of the total energy consumption.

For the sale or lease of buildings or parts thereof in cases

The sale of a property or its lease is a situation where the obligation to process an energy performance certificate has arisen for these buildings.
