This is an assessment of the energy efficiency of your property in accordance with applicable standards. It provides a clear overview of how economical the building is compared to others, and classifies it in energy classes from A (extremely economical) to G (extremely economical). It is based on data such as energy consumption, quality of insulation or technology used.

The Building Energy Performance Certificate (PENB) is available in the Czech Republic legal obligation at sale, lease, construction or reconstruction of the building. This energy label provides clear and comparable data on energy performance your building — whether it is a family home, apartment, commercial property or public building.
‍It is necessary for negotiations with authorities, construction companies, as well as when applying for subsidies.

The following documents and information are required to prepare the Energy Performance of Buildings Certificate (PENB):
‍Project documentation of the building — building drawings, floor plans, sections, structural compositions and technical facilities of the building (TZB).
‍
‍Technical specification of the building — information on heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, water heating and other energy systems.
‍
‍Purpose of use of the building — how the building is used (residential, commercial, etc.), including the number of users and operating hours.

If any of these materials are missing, we can work it out. Our on-site technicians will make a 3D model of the building if the project documentation is not complete.

The obligation to have a Building Energy Performance Certificate (PENB) applies to the following types of buildings:
‍New buildings: All newly constructed buildings must have processed PENB.
‍Reconstruction: If more than 25% of the building envelope (facade, roof, etc.) is reconstructed, it is mandatory to process PENB.
‍Sale of a building or part of it: When selling an entire building or an individual unit (e.g. an apartment), the PENB must be presented to the buyer.
‍Rental: When renting an entire building or an individual unit, the landlord is required to provide the PENB to the tenant.
‍Public administration buildings: Buildings that are used by public authorities and have an area of more than 250 m² must have a PENB.
